| Cette semaine une photo prise le 13 juin 1941. This week a picture taken June 13, 1941. Le kplt Bertl Endrass est au retour de sa mission de 30 jours dans l'Atlantique.
L'équipage est le suivant :
Commandant : Kptlt. Engelbert Endrass 1WO : Oblt. Horst Dieterichs 2WO : Oblt. Konstantin von Puttkamer WO en formation Hans-Heinrich Barschkis
Il est parti de Saint-Nazaire le 15 mai 1641 et il doit opérer avec la meute "West"
La meute est constituée de commandants aux noms prestigieux : Lüth, Schultze, Zapp, Rosenbaum, Kentrat, Korth, Kuppisch, Gysae, Lemp, Schnee, Thurmann, Paulssen, Bigalk et bien d’autres. Pourtant elle en coulera 33 navires (191 414 tonnes) et, en endommagera 4 autres (33 448 tonnes)
Le 23 mai 1941, une vigie se casse le bras à cause de la tempête dans l'Atlantique Nord.
le 8 juin il endommage le pétrolier Ensis d 'une jauge de 6207 tonnes (convoi anglais OB-330 entre Liverpool et Amérique du nord) Mais le pétrolier en coulant percute le U-46 endommageant à son tour le kiosque et le périscope.
Le lendemain, 9 juin, sur le chemin du retour il coule le navire marchand Phidias de 5623 faisant partie du même convoi. Endrass fait tirer sa dernière torpille qui n'explose pas. il doit couler le navire à coup de canon ! Il le coulera enfin, au bout du 71ème tir.
A son retour de nombreuses photos seront prises et un film de la PK est réalisé. Bertl Endrass interviewé par le célèbre PK de Saint-Nazaire : Schwich

He left Saint-Nazaire May 15, 1641 and he must operate with the pack "West"
The pack consists of commanders with prestigious names: Lüth, Schultze, Zapp, Rosenbaum, Kentrat, Korth, Kuppisch, Gysae, Lemp, Schnee, Thurmann, Paulssen, Bigalk and many others. Yet it will sink 33 ships (191,414 tons) and will damage another 4 (33,448 tons)
On May 23, 1941, a watchman breaks his arm because of the storm in the North Atlantic.
on the 8th of June it damages the tanker Ensis with a gauge of 6207 tons (convoy English OB-330 between Liverpool and North America) But the oil tanker sinking hit the U-46 damaging in turn the kiosk and the periscope.
The next day, June 9, on the way back he sinks the merchant ship Phidias of 5623 forming part of the same convoy. Endrass fires his last torpedo that does not explode. he must sink the ship with cannon! He will sink it finally, at the end of the 71st shot.
